Capital Flow 3.7 Data Adjustments
Adjusting Corn (and other grain contracts) Contract Data from Steidlmayer to Aspen updating
It is necessary to adjust back data acquired from the Steidlmayer servers
when updating from Aspen Graphics / DTN. There are 3 steps involved:
- Open the corn contract to be changed. Using the Utilities -> Edit
Symbol function, change the Minimum Increment to "1" from
"2". Hit the OK button to close the dialog. Close the Corn
contract so it is not visible on the contract screen.
- Using the Utilities -> Apply Multiplier to Old Data function, select
the Corn contract and in the dialog that opens, specify "0.5" as
the offset (that's zero, period, five). Click OK to multiply (actually
divide) the data.
- Open the Corn contract If there was bad data from a recent Aspen
request that did not match the existing Steidlmayer data, use the Feed ->
Fix Bad Tick Rerequest Market Data function in Capital Flow 3.7 to wipe out
the old data and pull in new. Be sure to specify a number of days sufficient
to wipe out all the bad ticks. If there was no bad data, simply press the
F12 key to update the contract. The new data should match the existing data.
